High school football in Texas is back. With Thursday night’s games, the University Interscholastic League begins the celebration of 100 years of high school football state championship games.
It all started in 1920 when Houston Heights and Cleburne were declared co-champions after a 0-0 tie.

The season kicks-off with twelve Lone Star State teams in the High School Football America 100 national rankings. There are also multiple teams in our On the Bubble rankings (No. 101 through No. 125) and Honorable Mention rankings (No. 126 through No. 250).
