For the second year in a row, Arizona-power Saguaro is looking for a head football coach. Zak Hill has stepped down after leading the Sabercats to a 6A title this past season and a No. 235 ranking in the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football.
Hill is leaving after one-year to become an assistant athletic director at American Leadership Academy in Gilbert, Arizona. Hill took-over took the Saguaro job after coaching at Arizona State. He took over for Jason Mohns, who left the Sabercats to become the tight ends coach at ASU.
Mohns led Saguaro to seven state titles during his 11-years as the school’s head coach.
Saguaro’s 14 state football championship is one behind the state’s all-time leader Blue Ridge.
