The 2015 Illinois high school football state championship games will be played this weekend at Northern Illinois.
Loyola Academy, ranked #26 in the latest High School Football America Top 50, will be playing in its third 8A title game since 2011. The Ramblers will be looking to win their first Class 8A state football championship when they play Marist Saturday night.
Montini Catholic is back in familiar territory. Saturday’s Class 6A title game will mark the seventh straight year that the Broncos are playing for a state title. Montini, which will play Crete-Monee, has lost its last two championship games after winning four in a row from 2009 to 2012.
