After leading Troy to its first-ever Pennsylvania high school football championship, head coach Jimmy Smith is named the Pennsylvania Football Writers’ Class 2A Coach of the Year. The Trojans 25-24 win over Central Clarion in the championship game capped a 16-0 season. For the year, Troy outscored its opponents 774-213.

The Player of the Year is Jase Ferguson, who was on the Central Clarion team, the 2A runner-up. The dual-threat QB completed 216-of-308 passes for 3,482 yards and 51 touchdowns with just eight interceptions. He also rushed for 1,488 yards and 25 TDs.

On defense, the standout safety recorded 81 tackles with nine interceptions.
