The 2024 Florida high school football championships in Miami are one stop away. Later this week, 14 teams will punch their tickets to South Dade Kia Field at Pitbull Stadium on the campus of Florida International University.

The state semifinals are loaded with plenty of head-to-head matchups inside the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Only two of Friday’s semis aren’t HSFA 300 battles.

In 7A, No. 12 Venice hosts No. 68 Columbus (Miami). On the other side of the bracket, No. 97 Lake Mary squares-off with No. 123 Dr. Phillips.

In 6A, No. 137 Southridge travels to No. 107 West Boca Raton. The winner of that one will face the winner of the matchup between No. 110 Osceola (Kissimmee) and No. 188 Buchholz.

In 5A, No. 215 Niceville travels to No. 14 Lakeland, winners of two straight 4S state championships. No. 27 St. Thomas Aquinas, looking for its sixth straight state championship, hosts No. 127 Manatee.

In 4A, No. 25 American Heritage (Plantation) hosts No. 99 St. Augustine. No. 272 Naples will battle No. 28 Jones in Orlando.

The only head-to-head in 3A is between No. 47 Miami Northwestern and No. 223 Eau Gallie. The other matchup is between No. 135 Raines and unranked Sarasota Booker.

In 2A, No. 121 Gadsden County meets No. 162 Miami Booker T. Washington and No. 45 Cocoa, going for a three-peat, travels to No. 221 Cardinal Mooney.

Finally, in 1A, No. 42 Clearwater Central Catholic travels to No. 219 Cardinal Newman. No. 15 Chaminade-Madonna, going after a fourth straight state title, hosts unranked Trinity Christian Academy from Jacksonville.
