A lot of eyes opened when we had St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C. ranked in the High School Football America Preseason Top 50. On Saturday, the Cadets proved themselves worthy of that high national ranking as the beat #11 Pittsburgh Central Catholic (Pennsylvania) 35-14. Not only did SJC beat the 2015 Pennsylvania Class 4A champs, but the Cadets beat them easily.

Next-up for St. John’s College HS is American Heritage from Delray Beach, Florida. It’s part of a Murderers’ Row schedule that sees the Johnnies then face-off #13 St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, New Jersey), #2 IMG Academy (Florida), #23 Good Counsel (Maryland) and #10 DeMatha (Maryland).
If you lost count, that means St. John’s College High School opens its first six games against five teams that were ranked in our Preseason Top 25.
