The final game of the Battle of the Borders Classic in Georgia last well past midnight, but it didn’t matter to #7 Booker T. Washington. The Tornadoes ran-out to a 19-0 lead on the way to a 19-7 victory over Tucker (Georgia) in a game that started at 10:30 and was played in a pour rain at times.
BTW won its 28th straight behind two touchdown passes from Florida International verbal commit Maurice Alexander. Next Friday, the Tornadoes will face a stiff test when they face Miami Central, which has won 14 straight since losing to BTW in 2013.
Both teams are expected to move-up in High School Football America’s first in-season Top 25 that will be released on Sunday.
