The 2024 high school football season is officially here with Hawaii opening the regular season with games on Friday and Saturday.
Two teams in the Preseason High School Football America Hawaii Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, won their openers on Friday.

No. 6 Kamehameha (Kapalama) opened with a quality win over Leilehua, a team that started just outside of the Top 10. The Warriors won a defensive battle 10-3. Ezra Forges’ 20-yard touchdown pass to Noah Aki provide to be the game-winner.
Next week, Kamehameha will test itself against Southern California-power Mission Viejo. The Diablos are ranked No. 33 in the HSFA 300 national rankings.
No. 9 Kapolei opened with a road 28-7 road win over Waianae. San Jose State commit Liatama Amisone had a huge opener with two touchdown passes and a 79-yard touchdown run.
