Sports Leadership and Management Academy, or SLAM, beat Truckee (California) 34-30 in the Nevada 3A high school football championship at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders. Truckee entered the game on a 34-game win streak after winning back-to-back state championships.
SLAM is led by former San Francisco 49ers kicker Mike Cofer, who won two Super Bowls in 1989 and 1990.
