After a season opening one-point loss, Grayson ran the table to capture the 2024 Georgia Class 6A high school football championship. Wednesday night, the Rams left Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons, with the state championship trophy after beating Carrollton 38-24, denying Julian “JuJu” Lewis a state championship during his scholastic career.

After falling behind Grayson, No. 32 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, 10-0 in the first quarter, Lewis tossed two touchdown passes to take a 14-10 first quarter lead.

At the break, the two were tied at 17-all. After Grayson took a 24-17 lead, Carrollton tied it up at 24-24 with a touchdown pass from junior Kimauri Farmer out of the Wildcat.

After that it was all Grayson, offensively and defensively. Elijah Miller scored twice to give the Rams their fourth overall state championship.

Lewis, a Colorado-signee, who reclassified earlier this year to the Class of 2025, leaves high school with an 0-2 record in state championship games. He lost to Mill Creek in the championship game in his freshman season. His final game numbers were 30 of 42 for 333 yards and two touchdowns.
