The top of the High School Football America Media Compilation Poll held rock solid this week although St. John Bosco (California) broke last week’s fourth place tie with DeMatha (Maryland). The Braves are now alone in fourth with the Stags at #5. Other than that change, the top seven teams are right where they were last week.
Cedar Hill (Texas) jumped two spots from last week from #10 to #8 after its 20-10 win over Skyline (Texas). Last week’s #8 Katy (Texas) fell four spots to #12.
New to the poll this week — Bergen Catholic (New Jersey) in a tie at #22 with Flanagan (Florida), La Salle (Ohio) at #24 and Grayson (Georgia) at #25.
Dropping-out were Archer (Georgia), Colerain (Ohio) and McEachern (Georgia).
In addition to our poll, which is based on our proprietary algorithm, we include USA Today’s Super 25, MaxPreps’ Xcellent 25, NationalHSFootball.com’s HSFB 100 and PrepNation.com’s National Prep Poll.
The poll awards points on the basis of ranking. For example, the #1 team receives 25 points, the #2 team receives 24 points and so forth.
