Friday night’s CIF-Southern Section Northern Division (III) championship will be a battle between Camino League foes Camarillo and Thousand Oaks. Camarillo, ranked #13 in the latest High School Football America/SoCal Top 25, beat #24 Thousand Oaks 49-45 during the regular season to win the league championship.

Thousand Oaks led the regular season match-up until Jake Constantine threw the game winning TD pass with 1:15 to go in the game.
Both teams haven’t been in the finals in a long time. Camarillo is in its first CIF-SS final since winning it all in 1996, while Thousand Oaks makes its first appearance in the finals since winning in 1986.
Camarillo’s Constantine has had an outstanding senior season. He’s completed 73% of his passes (235-of-322) for 3,106 yards with 39 touchdowns with only five interceptions. Thousand Oaks QB Max Gilliam has equally as good numbers with 73% of his passes (192 of 262) being completed. The senior QB has passed for 3,216 yards with 37 TDs and only four picks.
