There are no off weeks when it comes to the top football teams in northern New Jersey. It’s basically, bring your best every week to beat the best.
No. 45 Bergen Catholic continues its climb back from back-to-back losses with a 41-30 win over No. 31 St. Joseph Regional (Montvale) on Saturday. The Crusaders, who lost to nationally-ranked Archbishop Wood and the nation’s top team, Mater Dei, on back-to-back weekends, used a solid ground game against SJR. Running backs Josh McKenzie and Rahmir Johnson, along with quarterback Johnny Langan all topped the century mark on the ground.
McKenzie extended BC’s lead to 31-24 with this run. Crusaders did not attempt a pass on this 82-yard drive. #SJRvsBC #NJfootball pic.twitter.com/GslhhEAhOx
