If you’re waiting for the first big Utah high school football game for the 2019 season, you won’t have to wait long. Defending 5A state champ Corner Canyon, ranked No. 92 in our Preseason 100, will square-off with two-time defending 4A state champ Orem on Thursday night.

Both teams feature some of the state’s top talent with Orem led by linebacker Noah Sewell, the state’s No. 1 college football recruit in the Class of 2020. Corner Canyon defensive end Van Fillinger, who’s given his verbal commitment to the Texas Longhorns, is the No. 3 overall recruit in the state, according to 247sports.com’s composite rankings.
