The Road to Auburn begins Friday night with the start of the Alabama high school football playoffs. Below are the 1st Round playoffs matchups.

Defending 7A champ Central (Phenix City) opens the postseason against Fairhope. The Red Devils enter the postseason ranked No. 3 in the High School Football America Alabama Top 10. The road to back-to-back titles will probably feature a state semifinal matchup against No. 4 McGill-Toolen. On the other side of the bracket is No. 1 Thompson and No. 2 Hoover.

Thompson (No. 38), Hoover (No. 41) and Central (No. 43) are all ranked in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.
