The new statewide rankings have two news teams, one of which is a familiar face from earlier in the year. Two-time defending Midsouth Association of Independent Schools 6A champ Madison-Ridgeland Academy re-enters the rankings at No. 10. All three of MRA’s losses have come against teams in the High School Football America national rankings — No. 10, Oakland (Tennessee), No. 76 Greenville Christian and No. 174 Pulaski Academy (Arkansas).
In addition to MRA, South Panola breaks into the Top 10 at No. 9.
