To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the High School Football America rankings algorithm, we present the Top 75 high school football teams in America since 2013. The rankings are based on our proprietary algorithm that creates a Power Ranking for each team over the past nine years.
The top team is St. John Bosco (Bellflower, California). The Braves have been in our Top 25 in eight of the nine years. Bosco missed the Top 25 during the 2020-21 COVID year when it only played six-games during California’s spring season.
Bosco’s resume includes a national title in 2019 to go along with two runner-up finishes (2013 and 2016) and a No. 3 ranking in 2018.
Three-time High School Football America national champ Mater Dei (Santa Ana, California) is No. 2 over the last nine years. The Monarchs, who won national titles in 2017, 2018 and last season, haven’t missed the Top 25 since 2015.
IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida), which won the 2020 national championship, checks-in at No. 3.
At No. 4 is three-time defending Florida 7A champ St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale). STA has five overall Top 10 finishes. The Raiders highest finish was in 2019 when they finished No. 4 in the nation.
Allen (Texas), which won our national titles in 2013 and 2014, rounds-out the Top 5. After making the Top 25 during the first six years of the algorithm, the Eagles haven’t finished in the Top 25 since 2018.

Overall, Texas leads the way with twelve teams in the Top 75. Florida has the second most teams with 11, followed by California with 7. Georgia and Ohio have six teams each in the Top 75.
In all, 19 states are represented, plus the District of Columbia.
