Big shake-up in Week 7 of New York Top 10

The High School Football America New York Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football, has a new look this week. Losses by No. 2 Canisius and No. 3 McQuaid Jesuit shake-up the rankings, created with our proprietary algorithm, between No. 2 and No. 6.

Unranked St. Francis (Hamburg) beat former Canisius 22-15 in overtime, which brings the Red Raiders back into the statewide rankings. St. Francis is No. 4 this week, while Canisius falls three spots to No. 5.

McQuaid Jesuit drops out of the Top 10 after its 31-21 loss to Pittsford.

Top-ranked Iona Prep picked-up a huge win over St. Anthony’s. The 35-34 victory gives the Gaels the Catholic High School League AAA regular season title. This week makes the final week of the CHSL regular season with the playoffs starting the following week. The Gaels will receive a first round bye.

Archbishop Stepinac climbs three spots this week to No. 2. Monsignor Farrell also moves-up three spots this week to No. 3 in the latest rankings.

Stepinac can wrap-up the No. 2 seed in the playoffs with a win over Cardinal Hayes on Saturday.
