Multiple media outlets are reporting Michael Irvin Jr. is following in his Hall of Fame father’s footsteps by transferring from Prestonwood Christian Academy in Texas to dad’s alma mater – St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida.
According to MaxPreps, the younger Irvin has caught 223 balls for 2,741 yards during this career at Prestonwood Christian, which plays in TAPPS, the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.
After his senior season in 1983, Michael Irvin, Sr. was named all-state and one of the most heavily recruited players in Florida. His senior year stats were — 59 catches for 987 yards and 12 TDs.
