The Chicago Bears announced today that applications for the Community High School All-Star award, brought to you by Athletico Physical Therapy, are now open. The award will recognize nine high school football players who have positively impacted their community and school from March through April. With Illinois now having several high school girls flag football leagues beginning in 2021, this will be the second year in the program’s history that high school girls flag football players are eligible to be nominated.

Each winner will receive a custom hand-painted football, gift bag and invitation to a future Chicago Bears event. It is the Bears’ and Atletico Physical Therapy’s pleasure to acknowledge the value of high school student-athletes contributions to their community and to assist them on their journey to inspire others to live healthy and fulfilling lives. The Bears will also make a $500 donation to the charitable organization of the player’s choosing. Applications are open now and must be entered by Feb. 15 to be considered.
