Who are the top high school football running backs in the nation in the Class of 2024?

Taylor Tatum – Longview (Texas)
Longview’s Taylor Tatum is considered the top RB in the nation. He’s the only back to receive a 5-star prospect rating in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
This coming Friday, Tatum, who is also an excellent baseball player, will make his college announcement, choosing between Oklahoma and USC.
Longview enters 2023 ranked No. 81 in the HSFA 300. Last year, Taylor averaged 8.9 yards per carry over 1,840 yards. He ran for 33 touchdowns and caught three others while leading the Cowboys to the state semifinals in Class 5A Division I.
Jerrick Gibson – IMG Academy (Florida)
IMG Academy’s Jerrick Gibson has given his verbal to the University of Texas. Last year, in nine games last season, the 5-foot-11, 195-pounder ran for 608 yards with eight touchdowns. He averaged 7.3 yards per carry.
Nate Frazier – Mater Dei (California)
Nate Frazier has 24 college scholarship offers as the second best back statistically at powerful Mater Dei. Junior-to-be Jordan Davison has 50 offers after gaining 1,514 yards last year to Frazier’s 693. Frazier averaged 11.3 yards per carry, which was more than two-yards per carry more than Davison.
