There’s a new No. 1 in the High School Football America Alabama Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
Auburn moves to the top after former No. 1 Clay-Chalkville was beaten by unranked Oxford 21-10 last Friday. The loss drops C-C to No. 5 in the latest statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
While, the win didn’t push unbeaten Oxford in the state rankings, it did move the Yellow Jackets into our national rankings at No. 278. Currently, there are twelve teams in the HSFA 300.
Opelika continues to climb. The Bulldogs move from No. 7 to No. 3 after beating Central (Phenix City) 23-14. Central drops from No. 3 to No. 4 this week.
Hoover jumps four spots to No. 6 after beating Thompson 27-26 in overtime. Thompson drops two spots to No. 7.
This week’s feature game is between No. 3 Opelika and Carver Montgomery, ranked No. 279 in our national rankings.
