For the time in more than three decades, Althoff Catholic is an Illinois high school football champ. The Crusaders beat Lena-Winslow 57-14 for the Class 1A high school football championship, the school’s first since 1990.

Oregon-recruit Dierre Hill tied the 1A championship touchdown record with six touchdowns. He broke two 1A championships records. His 438 rushing yards is the most in a game and his 46 points is the most by a single player in the 1A finals.
