Georgia High School Football Daily is reporting that talks are underway to return the Georgia high school football state championships back to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons.
The Georgia High School Association moved the finals from M-B after the 2018 season to Georgia State’s Center Parc Stadium, an outside facility. From 2008 to 2016, the Georgia Dome hosted the championship games. The finals were moved to Mercedes-Benz Stadium when it opened in 2017. However, that year, due to a snow storm, the championship games were moved to high school stadiums.
