While most of state will open the 2024 regular season next week, two of the top teams in the Preseason High School Football America California Top 25 rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, will be in action this weekend after Hawaii opponents.

No. 4 Sierra Canyon will be off the mainland to face No. 255 Punahou. The Trailblazers, whose only loss last year was to eventual HSFA national champ and preseason No. 1 Mater Dei, also start at No. 27 in our national rankings. The Blazers first five games will be against teams in the HSFA 300.

No. 5 Mission Viejo will stay at home to play Kamehameha Kapalama, ranked No. 6 in the latest HSFA Hawaii Top 10. Seven of the Diablos’ ten regular season games will come against teams in our Top 300.
