Carthage head coach Scott Surratt is still perfect in Texas high school football championship games. Friday, Surratt, with his son Jett at the helm of the offense, picked up his 10th overall state title in ten tries with a 28-14 win over La Vega in the Class 4A Division II championship at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Leading 14-7 in the fourth quarter, Jett Surratt engineered a couple of touchdown drives with the younger Surratt tossing two touchdown passes.
