The chase for the 2020 High School Football America 100 “mythical” national championship is coming to a close. With Texas reaching its state semifinals this coming weekend and Michigan playing its quarterfinals this coming Saturday, we’re three weeks away from the official coronation of this year’s champ.

So far, two-time Texas state champ North Shore is the only team to hold-down the No. 1 spot in our national rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm. The Mustangs are two wins away from a three-peat, which would give them the “mythical” national title.

This week, North Shore will face its stiffest test in the postseason when it takes-on No. 7 Austin Westlake. The winner of that one will meet the winner of the game between No. 8 Duncanville and No. 24 Southlake Carroll. North Shore has beaten Duncanville in the last two Class 6A Division I championships.
