East St. Louis finishes regular season ranked No. 1 in Illinois Top 10 high school football rankings

Despite its loss to national power IMG Academy (Florida), East St. Louis heads into the postseason ranked No. 1 in the High School Football America Illinois Top 10 powered by NFL Play Football. The Flyers have played the toughest schedule in Illinois with wins over Missouri-powers Christian Brothers College High School and De Smet and loses to national powers IMG and St. John Bosco (California).

As far as the rest of the Top 10, Loyola Academy solidified its No. 2 spot in the state by beating Mount Carmel (Chicago) 21-19.

No. 5 St. Ignatius Prep suffered its first loss and falls to No. 8 after a 28-20 defeat at the hands of Fenwick.

Neuqua Valley falls two spots to No. 10 after losing 34-32 to Naperville North.
