A month ago when Hoover head coach Josh Niblett joined me on our radio show, he talked a lot about the Niblett coaching bloodlines that began with his father John and ran through him and and his brother Tad, who worked side-by-side with Josh as his offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for seven years and four Buccaneer state titles.
Tuesday night, Tad Niblett was hired as the new head coach at Foley. According to al.com, it will be his third head coaching gig with his previous stops being a Springwood and Central Christian.
Niblett takes over for Todd Watson, who has moved-on to Troy University. In 10 years at Foley, Watson guided the program to an 80-36 record.
