After a year away from blogging, Texas high school football coach Jason Strunk returns to the High School Football America blogosphere with a new blog called Anchor Down that will give readers an inside look at his Port Isabel High School football program and the coaching profession in general.
For those of you not familiar with Coach Strunk, in 2012 he began writing The Turnaround blog for High School Football America during his time as the head coach at Lubbock High School in west Texas.

Last year, Strunk became the head coach at Port Isabel in south Texas, a Class 4A school close to the United States-Mexico border near Brownsville. After taking-over the Tarpon program in early June, Strunk led the school to a 4-6 record and an appearance in the 4A Division II playoffs where they lost a 57-56 shootout in the opening round.
