The Las Vegas Raiders have named Clay Mauro of Green Valley as the sixth winner this year of the Tom Flores Coach of the Week Award.
According to a news release from the Raiders, Coach Mauro led the Gators to a 24-10 win over Basic High School in the 30th renewal of the Henderson Bowl. The Gators defense came up with five interceptions to help seal the win.
The Tom Flores Coach of the Week award promotes high school football, giving high school coaches and teams the recognition that they deserve. Each recipient will be awarded a $1,000 donation to the school’s football program from The Las Vegas Raiders and the NFL Foundation.
