Miramar storms into the latest High School Football America Florida Top 25. The Patriots enter at No. 15 after upsetting St. Thomas Aquinas in last Friday’s regular season finale. The win also put Miramar into our Top 100 at No. 93. The Patriots give Florida fifteen teams in our national rankings, which moves the Sunshine State ahead of Texas, which has 14.

Look for plenty of shifting in the next couple of weeks as the playoffs get underway this week.
Our spotlight game in the rankings this week is in 5A where No. 13 Cardinal Gibbons goes against No. 23 Jones.
In the offing in the second round are possible match-ups between No. 18 Osceola (Kissimmee) and No. 24 Dr. Phillips in 8A; No. 11 Viera going against No. 12 Plant in 7A; and a rematch between No. 3 Northwestern and No. 4 Miami Central in 6A. Several weeks ago, Northwestern beat the Rockets 21-7.
