North Gwinnett is the new No. 1 in the next-to-last High School Football America Georgia Top 10 that is created with our proprietary algorithm.  The Bulldogs, who move-up two spots in the latest ranking, will play No. 2 Colquitt County Saturday for the state’s 7A state title.

Rome’s big 45-7 win over former No. 1 Buford shakes-up this week’s rankings.  The defending 5A champs not only jump four spots to No. 5 in the Top 10, but also broke into the national Top 100 on Sunday at No. 83.  Rome plays Warner Robins for the state championship on Saturday.

Rome is one of three Georgia teams to enter our national rankings this week.  Marist and Blessed Trinity, who will play for the AAAA championship, entered the Top 100 at No. 90 and No. 94 respectively.  Marist is at No. 6 in Georgia Top 10 and Blessed Trinity, which lost to Marist 25-24 in October, is ranked No. 7.

Also new to the statewide rankings this week is Lee County at No. 10.  The Trojans will play Coffee for AAAAAA title this weekend.
