During a conversation the other day, someone brought-up the fact that national rankings are dominated by private schools. To that, I said that 16 of the teams currently in the High School Football America Top 25 are public schools. Of course, that same person wanted to know if I would mind posting a Top 25 for public schools using our rankings algorithm. I thought, what the heck, why not. Below you’ll see the public list. To be fair, tomorrow we’ll release a private schools Top 25.
BTW…USA Today’s Super 25 has 17 public schools, while MaxPreps Xcellent 25 features 16 publics.
