Defending state champ Bishop Hendricken needed a 17-point comeback to beat No. 3 North Kingstown on Saturday. The Skippers jumped out to a 17-0 and held it until late in the first half, but the second half was all Hendricken in a 30-24 win that moves the Hawks to 2-0 for the spring season.
North Kingstown will try to rebound this week when it plays No. 2 La Salle Academy. LA had its game last week against No. 4 Portsmouth cancelled due to COVID-19 protocols affecting the No. 4 team in the state, which still hasn’t played a spring game.
