High school football continues to improve across the State of Arizona. This is evidenced by the fact that eight teams from Arizona are ranked in the Top 225 in our national rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm.

Leading the way is two-time defending 6A champ Chandler at No. 22 and five-time champ Saguaro at No. 32. Pinnacle is on our On the Bubble (No. 101 through No. 125) list, while 3A champ Casteel, 5A champ Centennial, Chaparral, Higley and Perry are on the Honorable Mention list, which goes from No. 126 through No. 225.
Monday started fall camps across the state with plenty of heat to go around. Richard Obert of the Arizona Republic reported that it was 115 degrees on Monday afternoon when Chandler practiced in helmets and shorts.
Saguaro got away from the Arizona heat with its annual trip to Southern California. The Sabercats have been at Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks since last Friday.
