There will be big changes when the new High School Football America Utah Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football, is released.
The changes will begin at the top after No. 1 Lone Peak, the state’s defending 6A champs, lost to No. 6 Timpview 31-10. The Thunderbirds first win against Lone Peak since 2014 was powered by running back Micah Beckstead, who ran for 223 yards and two touchdowns. The T-Birds D picked-up six sacks.
The victory will also help Timpview in our national rankings. The Thunderbirds started the season ranked No. 283 in our preseason rankings. Lone Peak was ranked No. 84 in the HSFA 300 preseason rankings.
