Mallard Creek came close to making a big move in the latest High School Football America North Carolina Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Mavericks lost a narrow 10-7 decision to Buford (Georgia), No. 4 in the HSFA 300 national rankings.
Despite the loss, the Mavs move from No. 127 to No. 118 in the national rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm.
No. 2 Grimsley picked-up a 63-34 win over No. 9 Rolesville.
Making its first-ever appearance in the NC Top 10 is Crest at No. 8. The Chargers are off to a 2-0 starting, which includes a season-opening win over nationally-ranked Gaffney (South Carolina).
