St. John Bosco did what it had to do Saturday night. The Braves, ranked No. 2 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, crushed No. 24 Serra (San Mateo) 45-0 for the California Open Division championship.
SJB’s win means that the Braves and No. 1 Miami Central (Florida) are still in the running for a national title. Central was idle this week and plays No. 8 American Heritage (Plantation) next Friday for Florida’s 2M state title.
As far as Saturday night’s game, the Braves didn’t have many problems to wrap-up a 13-1 season.
St. John Bosco football head coach Jason Negro said his football team peaked at the right time, winning 45-0 in the CIF state championship game. Negro believes @boscofootball should win the “mythical” 2022 high school football national championship. @presstelegram @sjbathletics pic.twitter.com/wN3fta2M2J
