After three seasons as the head coach at Archbishop Moeller, Mark Elder is stepping down. Elder made his announcement on Friday.
After a 3-6 start in his first season, Elder led the Crusaders to back-to-back berths in the Ohio Division I state semifinals. In 2021, Moeller finished 11-4 with a No. 78 ranking in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Last year, the Crusaders were 13-2 with a No. 39 ranking in our national rankings.
Elder’s record was 27-12 with the 2022 Greater Catholic League South championship.
The search now begins for the program’s fourth coach since 2018.
