Former New England Patriots linebacker and special teams player Vernon Crawford is the new head football coach at Quincy High School. The Pats selected Crawford in the fifth round of the 1997 NFL draft. He played three years with the NFL club.
This will be Crawford’s third head coaching job at the high school level in Massachusetts. He previously was the head coach at Seekonk and Randolph. Since 2016, he’s served as a coach with the Boston Renegades in the Women’s Football Alliance. Mostly recently, he’s been the assistant head coach and coordinator with the Renegades.

Crawford takes over the program from Kevin Carey, who led the Presidents to a 17-30 record.
