For the first time since the 2014 season, a team other than IMG Academy sits atop the High School Football America Florida Top 25 that is created with our proprietary algorithm. Miami Central moves to No. 1 in the latest rankings after its impressive win over St. Thomas Aquinas and IMG’s loss to Mater Dei, the No. 1 team in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.
In the latest rankings, IMG drops to No. 2, followed by Carol City, which climbs one to No. 3. St. Thomas Aquinas sits at No. 4, followed by Wekiva at No. 5.
IMG and will try to rebound against No. 20 Northwestern on Saturday, Next week, after a bye week, St. Thomas Aquinas plays No. 6 Deerfield Beach. On Thursday, the Bucks play Taravella.
The other head-to-head matchup in the statewide rankings are: No. 13 Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville) plays No. 21 Columbia and No. 17 Braden River meets No. 24 Venice.
Winter Park enters the rankings at No. 25 replacing No. 19 Rockledge.
