According to the Miami Herald, Miami Northwestern head coach Max Edwards has been fired. Edwards led the Bulls to three state titles in eight years and regular appearances in the High School Football America 300 national ranking, powered by NFL Play Football.

Last year, Northwestern finished 6-5 against one of the top schedules in America. All five losses were against highly-ranked teams — No. 2 Miami Central (twice), No. 9 Chaminade-Madonna, No. 20 Miami Columbus and No. 105 Homestead.
The Bulls, who won three straight state titles between 2017 and 2019, under Alexander, finished No. 45 in the HSFA 300 in ’22.
