The 44th annual Island Cup goes to Nantucket. Tuesday, at Fenway Park, the Whalers beat their arch-rival Martha’s Vineyard Regional 22-14 in overtime before 4,000 fans at the iconic baseball park.

Nanatucket’s win snapped a two-game win streak for Martha’s Vineyard, which had a chance to win the game in regulation with a short field goal.

In overtime, after scoring first, Nantucket then came up with the stop to capture the victory.

Nantucket now leads the all-time series 23-21.
