Newton is making its first-ever appearance in the High School Football America Georgia Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Rams break into the statewide rankings at No. 19 after beating former No. 8 Westlake 27-12 last Friday. The win also brought the team into our national rankings at No. 151.

The loss drops Westlake twelve spots to No. 20 in our Top 25 created with our proprietary algorithm.
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee makes a six spot jump to No. 9. The private school in the northern part of the state, that plays in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association, beat 8-time Colorado high school football state champ Valor Christian 52-31.
