It’s hard to beat a team twice in a season, but that’s what No. 11 Northwestern did Friday night. The Bulls beat defending 6A champ Carol City, ranked No. 59 in the High School Football America Top 100, 23-15 to advance to the state semis.
Senior QB Tutu Atwell threw two touchdowns and ran for one for the Bulls, who will play Naples next Friday.
Atwell had a little extra coaching help on Friday as Northwestern alum and current Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was on the sidelines.
