For the fifth time in the last six years, McCallie sits atop the Tennessee Division II-AAA classification. Thursday night, the Blue Tornado, ranked No. 134 in the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football, beat No. 31 Baylor 27-21 in the state title game at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga.

Baylor jumped out to a 21-0 lead on their arch-rival before McCallie scored the last 27 points of the game to win the championship.

BlueCross Bowl MVP Syam rushed 34 times for 175 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. He scored the game-winning touchdown with :15 seconds left to play in the game.

The Blue Tornado win avenges their 44-12 loss to the Red Raiders on October 4. Last year, McCallie beat Baylor 34-28 in the title game.
