Nationally-ranked Tupelo is the 2024 Mississippi Class 7A high school football champ after beating Brandon 28-16 at M.M Roberts Stadium at Southern Mississippi.

Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 7A Mr. Football running back, Jaeden Hill, had a huge game. The 2026 Mississippi State commit fran for 224 yards on 34 carries. He also had 37 receiving yards. He scored three of the four Tupelo touchdowns.

The state title is the first for the Golden Wave since 1992.

The loss for Brandon marks the third time in the last four years that the Bulldogs lost in a state championship game. They are still looking for their first-ever state title.

Tupelo, currently ranked No. 204 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, finishes a perfect 14-0. Brandon closes out at 12-2.
