Defending Alabama 7A champ Thompson will have a chance to go back-to-back in two weeks. Friday night, the Warriors, ranked No. 3 in the High School Football America 100 powered by BlackMP Living Water, cruised past No. 29 Hoover 52-14. It will be Thompson’s third straight state championship game appearance.
Jarrett Crockett led the way, rushing for 226 yards on 29 carries. He scored three touchdowns on runs of 14, 10 and 3 yards. On December 2, Thompson will play Auburn for the state title at Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium.
