St. Joseph Regional will get a shot at redemption against Bergen Catholic when the two meet for the New Jersey Non-Public Group 4 state championship in two weeks. Saturday, SJR, ranked No. 32 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings, beat No. 36 St. Peter’s Prep 24-14 in the state semifinals.
The Green Knights will face No. 19 Bergen Catholic. The Crusaders, who are the defending Non-Public Group 4 champs, beat Don Bosco Prep 35-17 on Saturday. The state championship game will be a rematch of the October 6 matchup between the two, which Bergen Catholic won 24-20 in come-from-behind fashion.

St. Peter’s Prep finishes 7-4 with two losses against St. Joe’s. SPP is the only team to beat Bergen Catholic this year.
